Song and statment.

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.
Refrain

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.

Refrain

I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.

Refrain

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

Refrain

I really like another song, that is somewhat along these lines. It is "A song the Angels Cannot sing." It tells, of "Amazing Grace" and says the Angels cannot sing about that, they can sing about creation, about the fall, about the lives of the patriarchs, about the resurrection, and about so many other things, but they cannot sing with a personal knowledge of Salvation. Won't it be interesting in Heaven, when the saints of God go marching down the street singing, and the angels have to pause, because the just don't know the words. God has been so good to us, He never gave the fallen angels a second chance, but He gives us countless opportunities to come to Him, and still some reject Him. Hey, that is a blessed "old, old story" and it is true "Jesus Saves."

No Grave could ever Hold Him.

No Grave Could Ever Hold Him

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Look around at all the darkness,
Nothing can be seen,
Two thieves on Mt. Calvary,
And one Man in between,
Why this utter darkness,
If He's just another man,
Why did the veil rend it two,
Because He's the Great I AM.

chorus:
No Grave Could Ever Hold Him,
Death could not prevail,
He broke the chains of darkness,
He conquered Death and Hell,
He is the Great Messiah,
Lord of all the earth,
The God of all the ages,
So let's proclaim His Word.

What is this great disaster,
The Son of God has died,
Does Satan have the victory,
Well, he's welling up with pride,
And yet, no bone is broken,
The prophecy fulfilled,
This is not His Defeat,
Its what the Father Willed.

chorus

Oh, what a great deliverance,
We find on this third day,
The tomb is lying empty,
The stone is rolled away,
He is the Risen Saviour,
The Lord of Lords is He,
He Rose up from that borrowed tomb,
He won the victory.

He Broke the Chains.

Once I was down in sin’s dark prison,
No one around could take my place,
I had no joy, no hope for living,
Then Jesus came, He broke the chains.

chorus
He broke the chains of sin and sorrow,
He broke the chains of fear and shame,
He wrote my name, way up in glory,
Since Jesus came, He broke the chains.

In the tomb he laid what a cold, dark prison,
And to all the world, death seemed to reign,
But Mary cried, “My Lord is risen.”
From Death He came, He broke the chains.

A New Name.

New name in Glory

I was once a sinner, but I came
Pardon to receive from my Lord:
This was freely given, and I found
That He always kept His word.

Chorus:
There’s a new name written down in glory,
And it’s mine, O yes, it’s mine!
And the white robed angels sing the story,
“A sinner has come home.”
For there’s a new name written down in glory,
And it’s mine, O yes, it’s mine!
With my sins forgiven I am bound for heaven,
Never more to roam.

I was humbly kneeling at the cross,
Fearing naught by God’s angry frown;
When the heavens opened and I saw
That my name was written down.

Chorus

In the Book ’tis written, “Saved by Grace,”
O the joy that came to my soul!
Now I am forgiven, and I know
By the blood I am made whole.
