Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
It is intersesting to note that this command not to hate your brother is given all the way back here in the Law. Jesus tells us later that this is the same as murder in God's eyes. We are emotional beings. It is so easy for us to allow hatred and anger and evil thoughts into our lives. This is sin, however, and God HATES sin!! By allowing God to put His love in our heart, we can avoid disobeying one of His commandments, and also avoiding the sin of having murder in our hearts.
