This is the day. for 8/27

Exodus 23:9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  That is a very popular statment, but it is also a Biblical command.  God is telling the children of Israel here that they need to remember how they were treated, and then, because of those memories, treat others in a right way.  Christian, do you remember where you came from?  Can you see that there are others all around you who are where you were?  Why would you be hateful to them, and try to "shove religion down their throats?"  Why would you act like you are so much better than they are?  Hey, if you are that way, maybe its because you forgot where you came from.  God said to Israel, "don't forget where you came from."  You and I can be oppressive to those around us, and make them feel useless and worthless, or we can remember how it used to be with us, and do our best to treat them with the love of God, showing them the goodnes of God that will lead them to repentance.
