This is the day.

Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Qestion: Why would Daniel worry so much about just a little bit of meat and wine?
Answer: Because God said it was wrong to eat these certain things, and He had not changed the Law for Israel.

Sometimes we cannot understand why some Christians find certain things wrong. Its because God said it is wrong. People try to say, "Well that was in the Old Testament." Things like meats and certain foods can be clearly seen to have the rules changed in the New Testament, but other things like wearing the right clothes, and the sins of impurity, sodomy, murder, theft, lies, and many other things are reinforced in the New Testament as well. People want to jump up and say, "I don't think it is necessary for me to do that." Hey, if God says its wrong, its wrong for me, its wrong for you, and its wrong for everyone else.

How can I tell if its wrong?
I. Its not about how you feel. Feelings change.
II. Its not about what you think. Thoughts can be influenced.
III. Its not about what others say. Everyon has their own opinion.
IV. Its all about what God says about it. God's Word is the final authority.
